Charles William Broaddus, 83, of Kennedy Bridge Rd in Lancaster, passed away Monday, November 2, 2015 at Christian Care Center in Lancaster. He is survived by his wife Marie Green Broaddus. Charles was born in Garrard County, Kentucky on March 13, 1932.

He proudly served in the Army. Charles also was a lifetime farmer and a State Highway employee for many years. Along with his passion for his country, Charles was a Master Mason and a member of the Kentucky Walking Horse Association. In that time he served as a walking horse judge. Charles was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church.

Along with his wife, he is survied by one son: Randall William Broaddus of Garrard County. Also survived by one special friend; Calvin Denny also of Garrard County. He is also survived by a special dog, Pooh.

Funeral Services will be 2 PM Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Shoot and Gayle Bibb officiating. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 pm Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Spurlin Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Bibb, Phillip Broaddus, Freddie Carter, Buddy Hallet, Walter Marcum, and Paul Ford Ruble.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Donnie and Cheryl Bibb, Ronnie Bibb, Frances Ann Conley, Phillis Bibb Gayle, Denny and Peggy Comer and Elizabeth Bibb.
