James Goode, 66, of Hustonville, KY passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017 at home. Born November 1, 1950 in Stanford, KY to the late Robert Goode and Hazel Coleman Foster, he served as a member of the United States Army, and worked as a mechanic for most of his life. He loved his family and friends, was a Harley enthusiast, and lived his life his way. Survivors include two sons; James Michael Goode of Hustonville, KY, and Rodney Wayne Goode (Beth) of Stanford, KY, one brother; James Harold Goode (Ruth Ann) of Stanford, KY, two sisters; Luzia Foster of Stanford, KY, and Barbara Montgomery (Johnny) of Harrodsburg, KY, four grandchildren; Brittany Able, Megan Goode, Wade Goode, and Mikah Goode, a step granddaughter; Haley Bowen, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 5-9pm at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Funeral service will be 11am Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the funeral home with Bro. Dexter East officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
