Scott Winkler Obituary

The KWHA sends their deepest sympathy to the Scott Winkler family. Obituary follows:

Scott Winkler, age 49, of Berea, passed away after a brief illness at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Scott was born in Richmond to Linda Cheeks Johns and the late Shelby Winkler. He was a former Deputy jailer at Madison County Detention Center and worked at Quality Cleaners. In his free time, he loved raising Beagles and working with horses.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, who raised him, Kenneth Johns.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Winkler; his mother, Linda Johns; four children, Chasity Winkler, Bethany (Rusty) Hatton, Meghan (Cody) Marcum, and Autumn Winkler; four stepchildren, Kara Richardson, Bethany Foster, Logan Foster, and Jordan Adams; his siblings, Brandy Artley, Stacey (Grant) Isaacs, and Heather (Nathan) Justice; and five grandchildren, Kenna Winkler, Aubree Winkler, Holden Hatton, Teagan Collins, and Rowan Collins.
Funeral services will be at 8 pm, Thursday, September 30, 2021, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Hamilton officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm at the funeral home on Thursday. Condolences may be left for the family at www.lakesfuneralhome.com
