Obituary of Gary Rose


Gary Allen Rose, age 83, of Harrodsburg, KY, husband of Judy Kay (Noel) Rose, arrived Home safely on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Born April 8, 1941, in Hesler, KY, in Owen County, he was the son of the late James and Elodia (Tingle) Rose.
Gary was a retired broker for Meat Commodities of Ashville, NC. He was strong in his Christian faith; a true man of God, and was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church. Gary, along with his wife, loved raising and showing Tennessee Walking Horses.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Judy, include: a son, Todd A. (Danielle) Rose; five grandchildren, Garrett Rose, Lacey (Brant) Fields, Weston Rose, Muireann Shook, and John Shook; three siblings, Rick (Terry) Rose, Michael Rose, and Phyllis Walfinbarger. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Dawn Rose, and three siblings, Jackie and Danny Rose, and Rosemary Wainscott.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 3575 Sweet Owen Rd., Owenton, KY.
Memorials are suggested to the Salvisa Baptist Church, 138 Kirkwood Rd, Salvisa, KY 40372.
