Obituary of Grover Hatton

Grover C. Hatton, 67, passed away October 31, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Florence.  He was born March 13, 1951 in Dayton, OH, the son of Nathan and Mary Ann Elkins Hatton.

He was a graduate of Boone County High School and was the Owner/Operator of Hatton Blacktop.  Grover was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all around outdoorsman.  He was very proud of his faith and was a member of Big Bone Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and vital to the Truck Stop Ministry.

Grover is survived by his loving wife, Pam Hatton, of the home, his children, Jason (Tiffany) Hatton, Independence, KY, Mandy Black (Layne Leverette), Shelbyville, TN, his brothers, George Hatton (Cassie) and Gary Hatton (Donna), his father, Nathan Hatton, father-in-law, Don Tanner, 3 brother-in-laws, 2 sister-in-laws,  also 7 grandchildren, including, Alexis Fyffe, Elizabeth Fyffe, and Emma Black, and 9 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann, and mother-in-law, Bert.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Big Bone Baptist Church, 11036 Big Bone Church Road, Union, KY 41091, the funeral will be immediately following at 12:00 PM.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Gideon’s Foundation or to the Truck Stop Ministry, both in care of Big Bone Baptist Church.
