The KWHA extends their deepest sympathy to the family and friends of long time walking horse trainer Walt Bruner. Complete Obituary follows:

Walter B. Bruner, 91, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, January 3, 2020 in Frankfort.
He was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He was a member of the Kentucky Walking Horse Accociation, Kentucky Walking Horse Trainers Association, Tennessee National Trainers Association and the T.W.H.B. Ea Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susie Bruner; his brothers, Clarence, Ray Jesse and James Harold Bruner, his sister, Lucille Cook; his son in law, Don Floyd and his granddaughter, Brandi Floyd.
He his survived by his daughter, Pamela B. Floyd of Shelbyville; granddaughter, Apryl Floyd French (Danny) of Shelbyville; his great granddaughter, Savannah McQuerry of Shelbyville; his great grandson, Jacob Floyd Raizor of Louisville; his daughter, Benji Witt (Tracy) of LaGrange; his granddaughters, Alexandria Witt, Avery Witt, Aubrey Witt; his brother, Steve Bruner (Donna) of Shelbyville; his sister, Viola Scrogham of Shelbyville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Friday, January 8, 2020 at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, KY. Visitation will be from 10:00 until time of service.
Burial will be in Grove Hill Cemetery.
