Denzil Allen, age 83 of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, February 18, 2022 at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center, Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born July 15, 1938 in Shaol, Kentucky to the late Cornelus & Hallie Woods Allen. He was the husband of Janice Blackburn Allen. He was a retired insurance agent, US Army Veteran, 58-year member of the fraternity of Free and Accepted Masons being a member of Krypton Masonic Lodge #905 Krypton, Ky. and Zebulon Masonic Lodge #273 Prestonsburg, Ky., Eastern KY Walking & Racking Horse Assoc., KY Walking Horse HID, Big Sandy Trail Riders Club, Civil Air Patrol, Boy Scouts of America, KY Democratic Executive Community & Former Chair of Prestonsburg Tourism. Along with his wife he is survived by his Son: Patrick Allen of Los Angles, California; Daughter: Renee Allen (Brett) Dauer of Hendersonville, Tennessee; Grandchildren: Katelyn Dauer of Laguna Niguel, California & Haley McCoy of Hendersonville, Tennessee. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation will begin Friday, February 25, 2022 at 6pm at the funeral home with Masonic Rites at 7pm
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 12 noon at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky
Burial will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 at 1pm at KY Veterans Cemetery South East, Hyden, Kentucky
